How to provide a temporary admin login

Using temporary, logins you can create temporary accounts that require no password to login and are automatically disabled after a given time. Please do not share your wp-admin access credentials (username and password) and use the method described below instead. Install and activate this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/ Upon activation, you need to visit Users > Temporary Logins page and click on the ‘Create New’ button to add a new temporary login account. This will show a form where you need to enter information for the temporary login you want to add.

  1. First, provide an email address for the support agent ([email protected]) and then their first and last name.
  2. Next, select the Admin role.
  3. Lastly, set the expiry duration to 1 week for this temporary account. This is the period after which the account will automatically expire.
Please set the expiry to 1 week. If you provide an access link, which is valid for 1 or 3 days, we probably won’t be able to fix the issue within this timeframe and will request to extend the validity time. Extending the validity time may negatively impact the total time required to fix your issue.
  4. Don’t forget to click on the submit button to store your changes.
  5. You will now see a success message and URL that anyone can use to login to the temporary account you just added. Click on the ‘Click to Copy’ button to copy the URL and share it with our support agent.

The temporary account will automatically expire after one week.
