The Lazy Load module enables loading images when a user scrolls close to them, making images load only when needed and saving user’s bandwidth.
Configuration
To enable Lazy Load on your website simply enable the Lazy Load module on the Powerkit settings page. Being an advanced module, it’s disabled by default.
Low-Quality Image Placeholders
Low-Quality Image Placeholders (LQIP) are tiny images that will be loaded first and displayed, while the main image is loading. This feature allows a user to get an impression of what image is being loaded, before it’s displayed.
To enable the LQIP feature, navigate to Settings → Media and scroll down to the Lazy Loading (LQIP) section.
As it’s required to create the image placeholders, you’ll have to regenerate your thumbnails after saving with the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin.
