Supercharger supports multiple AI providers for text generation. You configure your provider and API key in Supercharger → Settings → API.

Choosing a Provider
All supported providers work well for Supercharger’s text generation tasks. The best choice depends on your preferences, existing accounts, and the models you want to use.
Important
Regardless of which provider you choose for text generation, an OpenAI API key is always required for any module that recommends or recirculates related posts (AI Recommendations, Inline Recommendations, Continue Reading Chips, Footer Recirculation, Smart Up-Next, Exit-Intent Recirculation). Embeddings are only supported via OpenAI.
If you only plan to use content-enhancement modules (Highlights, Quote Puller, Summarizer, Key Moments, Key Questions, Excerpts), any single provider is sufficient without OpenAI.
Configuring Your Provider
- Go to Supercharger → Settings → API Integration.
- Select your Generation Provider from the dropdown.
- Enter your API key.
- Optionally specify a model name to override the provider’s default.
- Save settings.
You can store API keys for multiple providers simultaneously. Supercharger uses the selected Generation Provider for all text generation tasks.
