Purpose: Automatically identifies and visually highlights the most important paragraphs in an article, helping readers quickly scan and locate key information.
What It Does
Supercharger analyzes your article content and identifies the paragraphs that carry the most important or insightful information. Those paragraphs are marked with a subtle highlight style so readers can spot the key content at a glance without having to read everything.
This is particularly valuable for long-form articles where readers often skim before deciding to commit to reading in full.
How It Works
When a post is processed during indexing or generation, Supercharger sends the article to your AI provider. The AI evaluates each paragraph (identified by an internal content hash) and selects the most important ones. The result is stored and applied to the post HTML on the front end — no AI call happens when a visitor loads the page.
Settings
General
| Setting | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Auto-Apply Highlights | Automatically inject highlights into post content | Enabled |

Appearance
The highlight background color, text color, padding, margin, and typography can all be adjusted in the module’s Styles tab. You can also choose between a border accent style (a colored left-border on the paragraph) or a background color style. In the Embedded preset, the accent border mode is available instead of the background highlight.
Display
Highlighted paragraphs receive the CSS class ai-highlight. The content inside the paragraph is wrapped in <span class="ai-highlight__inner">. Visual style is controlled by CSS custom properties and can be fully customized.
Tips
- Works best on articles with at least 5 substantial paragraphs.
- If the highlighted paragraphs seem off, regenerate from the Gutenberg sidebar after reviewing the content.
