Requirements
Before installing, verify your environment meets the minimum requirements:
- WordPress 6.0 or higher
- PHP 8.0 or higher
- MySQL 5.7+ or MariaDB 10.3+
- At least one supported [AI provider](../03-ai-providers/index.md) account with an active API key
Installing the Free Version
Via WordPress Plugin Directory
- In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New.
- Search for Supercharger.
- Click Install Now, then Activate.
Via ZIP Upload
- Download the plugin ZIP file.
- In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
- Select the ZIP file and click Install Now.
- After installation, click Activate Plugin.
Installing the Pro Version
- Purchase a Pro license from the Supercharger website.
- Download the Pro plugin ZIP from your account dashboard.
- In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
- Upload and activate the Pro ZIP.
Note
The Pro plugin is an add-on to the free Supercharger plugin. The free plugin must be installed and active for Pro features to work.
Activating Your License
- After activating the Pro plugin, go to Supercharger → PRO & License.
- Enter your license key.
- Click Activate License.
A valid active license is required for Pro modules to function.
After Installation
Once activated, Supercharger will:
- Create the necessary database tables automatically.
- Add a Supercharger menu item to your WordPress admin sidebar.
- Register a sidebar panel in the Gutenberg block editor.
The plugin will not affect your site’s front end until you configure at least one AI provider and enable one or more modules.
